Executive Board of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia
The Executive Board of the OCS is elected for a mandate of four years at the proposal of the Assembly of the OCS.
At the 35th meeting of the Assembly on 16 December 2014, the following persons were elected to lead the OCS from 2014 and 2018:

President of OCS, Bogdan Gabrovec, became the second President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia - Association of Sports Federations in its history. Prior to his election, Mr. Gabrovec successfully led the Judo Association of Slovenia which became one of the most successful national sports federations. He also served as the leader of the Slovenian Olympic Team in London where Urška Žolnir won our first women’s Olympic gold medal. Gabrovec worked as Vice-President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and President of the Top Sports Committee for eight years and sat in the Executive Board of the main Slovenian sports organisation for twelve years. Prior to his positions with the OCS, Mr. Gabrovec was the President of the Sports Association of the Slovenj Gradec municipality.
He also served as member of the Expert Council for Sport of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and member and later President of the Foundation for Financing of Sports Organisations in the Republic of Slovenia. For four years, Mr. Gabrovec was the President of the Martial Arts Federation of Slovenia and in recent time he also served as member of the expert group charged with drafting the new strategy of OCS-ASF.
Bogdan Gabroves is a 6th dan judo master and was also a member of the Yugoslavian national team. He later became the coach of the Yugoslavian and later Slovenian women’s judo team.
